I've at last got around to posting the new free template which you can find on the Freebies pages. This template makes a lovely little scallop gift bag/box. If you have a scallop die cutter you can make these without the template but if you don't then no worries, you can get one from us.
There are two sheets in this file. Print them out onto card (you can print direct to the card you want to use).
An easy way to cover the card is to just stick it down to the paper you want to use. This piece I'm using is double sided but the paper I want is actually on the reverse. Then just cut out the shape following the template.
You need to score along the dotted line and fold.
Cut out the oval handle or use a paper punch if you have one.
Now move onto making the box. Cut out the shape and fold along the dotted lines. I've gone for a plain card for the box.
Glue together to form a box
Attach to one side of your scallop circle and then the other, sticking the folded part underneath the box.
I hope you have enjoyed this quick tutorial and have fun making some mini scallop boxes of your own. Please do consider adding a photo to our gallery, it is so simple to do if you are a member and we love to see what you make.
