Last time, we made some demos using the undecorated tree from the Christmas Trimmings Digital Stamp set, which you can see in the photo above. The theme for those was cool blues, so this time, we will tone things down a bit and have a look at some of the other images in the set. This stamp set lends itself particularly well to vintage themed cards, so get out the distress inks if you have them!
You can get the wreath image above from the Free Stuff pages. Instead of tinting this image, I have chosen to print it out in black and white and use my distress marker pens, as I want to use different colours for the different parts of the image.
This is actually a very detailed image but you can just colour over the top, as you can't really ruin it. I've tried to use a couple of different shades for each colour, to give some depth. The greeting is also from the stamp set and I have chosen to re-colour it in red, which is easily done in Word. Again, I have used some distress inks to give a vintage look to this card and used deckle scissors to cut around my image, before mounting on some musical themed backing paper. Here are some more cards made with the wreath images.
This one, I have tinted green and layered onto some deckled edged paper on a torn, stamped background.
This card, has been coloured and then cut out and mounted on foam pads, to give a 3D effect. There are just so many different ways to use these detailed digital images, that you will never run out of ideas!
