Mementoes In Time

These two cards used the second basic tree template, which has the tree sectioned into strips. This is really using the same basic template as the one posted earlier which we used to make Twine Trees and Mini Gift Tags, as well as a couple of Christmas Tree Cards but I have made a separate template for ease here as the tree shape is formed from strips of different papers.

These are very simple but how you mount them really makes the cards pop. A torn paper snow scene with a dotty sky from running paper through my embossing folder and a glittery ribbon, creates more interest.

Choose a colour theme and cut strips in different papers from your scrap box to get the best effect. Try to choose papers with different textures and finishes to get the most interesting result.
