Day three of the challenge/boredom buster to transform an ordinary playing card into an art piece. As it is Easter, here is an Easter themed project.Topic 3 is:
EASTER
Techniques used include:
My real love is definitely stamping, so a lovely textured background was created with a couple of stamps from the Andy Skinner Toxic stamp set. Heat embossing in white gives a lovely textured feel to the finish. Then to add some color, I used Distress Oxide inks applied with the blending tool. The pastel colours are perfect for an Easter themed card and really brings out the texture of the embossed pattern.
The egg embellishments are Sizzix die-cuts which I have stamped with the 'Industrial' stamp set, again from Andy Skinner and my lovely Versamark Vintage Sepia stamp. The corrigated card behind the eggs is simply chalked and I have used the Sepia ink with my trusty Hero Arts 'Old French Writing' stamp for the the torn piece. A stamped 'Easter' greeting finishes it off. Why not join in and add a link below the blog post, or on the Facebook page.
